Biography
Experienced programmer with formal training on Machine Learning, Linear and Nonlinear Optimization and Computer Vision. Currently pursuing Masters in Mech. Engineering with a goal of getting PhD in advanced robotics. I am an enthusiastic researcher with a keen interest in intelligent systems. Currently working as a full-time Graduate Research Assistant in the Cyber-Physical Systems Lab and pursuing a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I have a strong background in programming and good proficiency with Python, MATLAB, and Embedded C. I have also had good training in Technical Writing.
I plan to pursue a Ph.D. with a focus on exploring deep reinforcement learning for creating intelligent systems that will dynamically account for uncertainties in real-world applications.
My key accomplishments thus far are:
- Co-authored a paper in Measurement
- Completed Dr. Ng's Machine Learning and 2 of his Deep Learning courses
- Taught at an undergraduate level for 3 years.
- Mentored students in robotics project of various complexities
- Mentored students in Python programming for Machine Learning application here in UL Lafayette
