Biography:

Roman Kovalchukov received an M.S. degree in Information Technology at Tampere University (TAU), Finland, in 2020. Currently, he is a Doctoral Researcher at TAU, pursuing a Ph.D. degree. His research interests are in wireless communications, focusing on the analysis of mmWave cellular networks, wireless mMTC, and mesh networks using stochastic geometry, graph theory, machine learning, queueing theory, and system-level simulations. I received a B.Sc. degree in fundamental informatics and information technologies from Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University), Moscow, Russia, in July 2016, and an M.Sc. degree in Information Technology at Tampere University, Tampere, Finland, in January 2020.

I joined the Electronics and Communications Engineering department at Tampere University (former Tampere University of Technology) as a research assistant in August 2016. Since 2020 I am a Doctoral Researcher at Tampere University. Since 2018 I give exercise sessions on “Network Analysis and Dimensioning” course at Tampere University.

My research interests are in wireless communications, with a focus on the analysis of mmWave cellular networks, wireless mMTC and mesh networks, stochastic geometry, graph theory, machine learning, queueing theory, system-level simulations.
